All of these images are Microphotographs, photographs made with a microscope. The crystals are created by adding substances such as citric acid to alcohol, sometimes mixed with water, to the point of saturation, then allowing the solution to dry on a microscope slide, then sandwiching between two polarizer filters. The main crystal-forming agent and magnification (i.e. 40X, 100X) are included in the title for each image.
